I love the colours but there is just the faintest whiff of sandalwood . I have taken it out of its box to air (it was one of your boxes so new and not the problem). It’s maybe when it warms up as when you put it on first it is very slight (I have bad sinuses so not great sense of smell) but when it warms up you suddenly get a waft of it. I am wondering if I should try steaming it but am afraid of damaging it the other alternative is to dry clean it which is very likely to affect the colour. Please do you have any advice? I am hoping to wear it in about 2 weeks time but at the moment would be very conscious of the smell.

While our items are stored carefully, natural fibers like silk can sometimes absorb very faint ambient aromas, which can become more noticeable with warmth. We understand your concern about trying to remove it and the potential impact on the silk and its vibrant colours. To help ensure the longevity and beauty of your item, we recommend extreme caution with any treatment like steaming or dry cleaning on silk without expert advice. To safely remove the odor, we recommend continuing to air the wrap out in a well-ventilated, shaded space away from direct sunlight for a few days. Silk is naturally breathable, and giving it time to air out out of its box is usually the gentlest and most effective way to eliminate lingering scents.
